The Tiguan: A Stunning Brown-Eyed Sagittarius

I’m a spoiled brat. When I found out that Volkswagen was going to lend us (for free!!) one of their vehicles for a week, I pouted and sulked when I found out it was the (smaller) Tiguan and not the BIG Touareg they were giving us.

It won’t be big enough – we have STUFF, I whined to my husband.

Coffee maker, fishing paraphernalia, balls, cooler, magazines, nail polish – all the regular cottage gear, right?

STUFF.

Oh, and let’s not forget the kids, we have two of them. TWO, I SHOUTED.

This car won’ t be big enough and then we’d have to choose between my stack of magazines or my coffee maker. Or more likely, between the two kids.

So I *let* my husband pack the car (hence the reason for the hockey duffel bags rather than actual luggage. And it fit,…to be fair, we pack as if we are a family of twelve leaving for a month long trek through parts of the world that may not have access to um, anything…

all the stuffs.

Driving around in a Volkswagen made me happy. This is a fun zippy car and thanks to their amazing commercials (oh, and award-winning safety features) I am a huge fan of Volkswagen. There are a bajillion safety and driving features that you should know about – but as I have absolutely no qualifications to talk about them (and thankfully, we didn’t require emergency features to kick in at anytime) I encourage you to visit their site for all the details. What I do know is that we easily passed all the big scary 401 trucks, it was as smooth on gravel roads as on city streets, the panoramic sunroof was even more fun on rainy days, it had buttons – BUTTONS – that gave us directions, and cool tunes and telephone access and assistance backing up (ok, I needed this, not husband) and it was a pleasure to introduce the Tiguan to our annual trip to Sandbanks .

If cars had a season, the Tiguan would be Summer.

It’s song: Brown -Eyed Girl (Van Morrison)

Astrological sign: Sagittarius (Independence)

All good cars review do this, right?  {OK, in case it wasn’t clear, this was a sponsored post.  That said, opinions are entirely my own. Volkswagen did not put me up to comparing their car to Van Morrison on a summers day, that was all me}
