Your Closet Just Blew Me a Kiss

When I lose weight, I like to shop. When I gain weight, I like to shop. When I’m happy, sad, crabby, confused, anxious, bored, inspired or excited, I like to shop.  But before you roll your eyes and write me off, keep in mind, this doesn’t mean that I actually do go shopping. Mainly, I just whine and covet other peoples closets for awhile and then return to normal.

But in the meantime, I do like to explore.

And I’ve fallen hard for Ruche, a modern vintage-inspired online boutique.

It’s as if anthropologie and H&M met at a tea party, politely drank a cup of earl grey, then stole out the backdoor to the terrace down the street, where they shared a few mojitos and giggles, and ended up sprawled across the crisp linen sheets of the Ritz….Ruche being the result of this one night stand.

Ruche inherited the styles and charm of anthropologie and the price point of H&M.

Speaking of pretty, I was thrilled to be invited to the Glossybox event launch in Montreal recently. We were treated to hair & makeovers, cupcakes and drinks and everybody walked away with a closets worth of beauty products to try.  The premise of glossybox is that each month, members  receive a  5-item luxury box packed with a selection of beauty miniatures to try. It’s pretty fun, and it means, for $15/month you get to sample and discover tons of new products. So far, I’ve only had a chance to try a try the least glamorous of the items, the Curel foot therapy, mainly because my feet are crackling these days, they’re so dry…

And I just wrecked this post with my crackly, crusty feet description……Never mind though, cause your closet just blew me a kiss….

ps. I *may* have reason to really & truly be in need of new clothes shortly {I’ll tell you about it as soon as I can} and actually plan on buying a few new summer dresses…think any of these ones would suit me? Thanks!!

Fun read and thanks for introducing me to my new favorite website!
I’ve already filled my *shopping cart* with over 15 gorgeous items… I also saw some indie “Marci” dresses. Can’t wait to hear about the exciting news, I’m sure it’s a good enough reason to fill up a cart of your own.
p.s. my closet wants to get to second base with you.

Can’t wait to check out Ruche-it sounds incredible! I always thought of Anthropologie as the well-to-do gal that has everything together, and H+M as her slightly slutty and cheap understudy…your post just confirmed my long-held beliefs. ;)
